Graphic Design

My interest in drawing, painting, and photography led me to pursue a degree in Fine Arts, which I began at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB and completed at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD), in Halifax. While at NSCAD, elective introductory courses in graphic design, sparked an interest to blend technology with my passion for the visual arts.  I graduated from the NBCC Digital Communications program in Fredericton, NB where I received ample opportunities to become fluent in the key graphic design software programs.

On my return to the city of Saint John, and just a few months prior to the birth of my daughter, I began working as a Graphic Designer at a local graphic arts company. Two years later my wife and I welcomed our second child, a baby boy, into the world. While maintaining a number of design clients, I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge base in offset, full colour, and flexographic printing methods, as well as film output and wide format printing.

After 8 years, I was offered a new opportunity with a sign company in the city. While I was able to apply my previous education and work experience to my new position, I was also introduced to the world of sign production. I was responsible not only for designing signs and vehicle wraps, but was often involved in their printing and application.

I was extremely excited to be invited to become a member of the iNk Graphic Design team, in August 2011. The diversity of projects, the creative freedom, and the collaborative atmosphere have made being a part of this team a truly enjoyable experience.
